Trip Details: Final date to sign up is August 30. Please don’t wait until the last minute as we need to secure enough transportation.
When: September 11-13. Meet at CEFC parking lot on the Friday, September 11 at 4:15 and we’ll plan on leaving at 4:30 PM. We plan on returning at approx. 3 PM on Sunday afternoon. Parents, if the arrival time is vastly different, kids will check in on the way home by phone.
Where: Cape Henlopen State Park, Delaware.
Cost: $100 per student. Checks should be made out to CEFC with Henlopen Retreat marked on memo line, and should be given to Matt Carter OR Andi Colmery no later than August 30. Several scholarships are available. Please do not let cost be a reason to stay home! Let Matt know if you are in need of a scholarship.
Late Van: We typically provide a late van for those who have after-school commitments. Indicate on your permission slip (bottom of the page) that you’ll need to go late, and the earliest time you can be at Church to leave. We’ll base the departure time on the last person available and let you know when that will be. LATE VAN IS FIRST COME-FIRST SERVED. WE WILL PROVIDE ONE VEHICLE FOR LATECOMERS…if that gets full, others will need to find a way down there.
Permission Slips: Should be signed by parents and returned to Matt Carter (or Andi Colmery) by August 30. (Detach below line).
What to bring: Bible, notebook, and pen, sleeping bag, pillow, $10 for lunch on return trip, several pairs of shorts and tee shirts, a long-sleeve or sweatshirt, a wind breaker, sneakers, sandals, sun glasses, sunscreen, bug repellant, a hat, swim suit and towel, toiletries. Note: Swim suits must be modest for both guys and girls. Bikinis are not permitted. Tankinis are OK if your belly is covered. If you’re a girl and you have questions, feel free to call Cindy Carter. Guys, you can talk to Matt Carter.
Dorm assignments: Due to the anticipated size of our group this year we will need to reserve two dorms in addition to the ones we usually occupy. One group of guys and one group of girls will be required to sleep at Youth Camp 1 with an adult leader. Matt Carter will be making those assignments ahead of time.
