Men's Ministry

The Men's Ministry Team exists to encourage men in their walk with the Lord and to challenge and equip them to fulfill the God-given responsibilities he has entrusted to them. To that end the Men's Ministry Team offers various ministries and opportunities designed especially for men.

Sunday School Class
The Men's Sunday School class meets on Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM at Doug Mountz's home on Main Street in Elverson. For directions, call the church office at 610-286-6790.

Mentoring Availability
Several of the men on the Men's Ministry Team are available for mentoring men, training, encouraging, and holding one another accountable on a regular basis. Whether it concerns personal or family devotions, a persistent sin, or the need for a prayer partner, those interested should contact the church office.

Men's Reading Group
Do you have a book you have read or would like to read and discuss with other men? Do you simply want to be included so as to be encouraged to read Christian books? If so, contact the church office.

Men's Breakfasts
We feed hungry men well, both physically and spiritually. Watch this space for details on the next men's breakfast.

Men's Annual Retreat
Our 2005 Men's Retreat was held at Sandy Cove in Maryland in January. It was a great time as David Henderson, author of the book Culture Shift, spoke to us about "Right Side Up Living in an Upside-Down World." But the retreat is more than only hearing a speaker. We balance learning with fellowship and friendly competitive sports. Keep your eyes open this fall to see details for the next men's retreat.

Service
We in the Men's Ministry believe that every Christian should be using their spiritual gifts toward the building up of the body of Christ. To that end we encourage men at CEFC to choose a ministry in the church and commit to regular service. If you need help finding a ministry that matches your gifts and interests, please contact the church office.
