Nancy says the most important way God has prepared her to teach is by giving her is a love for him and for his Word. “He’s given me a mind that wants to figure out the big picture of who he is and what he is doing in the world. To me, Gods Word is a treasure to be mined."
Experiencing the death of two of her children has also significantly affected her teaching style and formed in her the openness and authenticity that inclines people to listen to her. “I’ve had to dig into God’s Word in search of answers to hard questions about God and how he works, and I find that those I’m writing or speaking to usually have the same struggles and questions.”
Nancy and her husband, David, and son, Matt, make their home in Nashville, Tennessee She speaks at conferences around the country and internationally. She and David are the co-hosts of the GriefShare video series used in over 12,500 churches around the country and host Respite Retreats for couples who have experienced the death of a child. Nancy is currently pursuing a master’s degree from Reformed Theological Seminary Global.
Nancy is the author of numerous books including Holding on to Hope, The One Year Book of Hope, Hoping for Something Better, Hearing Jesus Speak Into Your Sorrow and The One Year Book of Discovering Jesus in the Old Testament.
